This development originally was a joint venture between a private investor and a multi-national property development company. The development company bought out the private investor and was itself acquired by a property development group listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
The site at the Elephant & Castle was ideally positioned in a regeneration area with excellent transport links close to the City. The existing tower blocks had to be demolished and the residents re-housed before the new building work could commence.
